MUNDANE TYPE is a project very close to my heart because it allows me to explore my faith and my creativity simultaneously. Everything I create is within the tapestry of my faith and creativity - my faith is the needle that guides the thread of my creativity.
Through MUNDANE TYPE, I have had the privilege of having many conversations about faith and creativity with other women who are also passionate about pursuing the Lord and art-making. I am excited to start a new series on the blog, Portraits of an Artist, to feature these amazing women. The series will feature creative women who have built or are building a career out of their art-making, or just love art-making. I will also be drawing portraits of the women to go alongside their interviews.
The first three women that will be featured are Miah Oren (writer + photographer), Courtney Ware (filmmaker), and Elisa Fisher (photographer). Below is a sneak-peek of their portraits.
I am excited to share their portraits and stories with you in the upcoming weeks - stay tuned!
